A. Sensor and Device Data

Vigil relies on device sensors (e.g., accelerometer, background activity) to monitor well-being and detect potential anomalies (like lack of movement or emergency situations). This data is processed securely to trigger alerts or routines configured by the user.

B. Location Data

With your explicit permission, the app may access your location (including background location) to share it with your designated contacts during an emergency (SOS feature) or to provide contextual safety features.

C. Cloud Synchronization (Firestore)

Vigil uses Firebase (Firestore) to synchronize essential state information (like SOS alerts or configuration) with authorized caregivers or family members. Data is strictly limited to what is necessary for the app to function and is securely stored using industry-standard encryption provided by Firebase.

A. Authentication (Firebase Auth)

We use Firebase Authentication to securely manage your account and login credentials.

B. Analytics and Crashlytics

We may use anonymous usage statistics and crash reporting tools to improve the performance and reliability of the app. This does not involve sharing identifiable sensitive information.

Permissions: You can revoke location or sensor permissions at any time via your device settings, though this may limit the app's functionality.
